Georgie Hume & The Pity Party are a London based trio led by guitarist George Hume, who's sound incorporates a blend of Jamaican Jazz, Cuban inspired rhythms and Surf Exotica creating a sound thats been described as "Tropical Jazz", stylistically sitting between the guitar voicings of Marc Ribot, Ry Cooder and Jim Campilongo.

The trio released their debut EP in February 2024, receiving early support from Jazz FM, BBC Sounds and Soho Radio. Last year saw the band release their debut album through their own label, ZeroFret Recordings with Rough Trade describing lead single “Parquet Parakeet” as a “three minute Tropical Jazz masterpiece”. The group was also featured in Guitar World Magazine and Guitarist Magazine, with the latter praising the "breathtaking results" of the band's influences on their ZeroFret recording.

Alongside invitations to play at both Red Rooster and Ealing Jazz Festival over the summer, the group played a sold out run of shows, entitled ‘The Pity Party Long Weekender’ receiving rave reviews. A small run of solo dates will take place in March 2026, to support the release.
