Georgie Hume & The Pity Party are a London based trio led by guitarist George Hume, who's sound incorporates a blend of Jamaican Jazz, Cuban inspired rhythms and Surf Exotica creating a sound thats been described as "Tropical Jazz", stylistically sitting between the guitar voicings of Marc Ribot, Ry Cooder and Jim Campilongo.

The trio released their debut EP in February 2024, receiving early support from Jazz FM, BBC Sounds and Soho Radio. Last year saw the band release their debut album through their own label, ZeroFret Recordings with Rough Trade describing lead single “Parquet Parakeet” as a “three minute Tropical Jazz masterpiece”.

The group has been featured in Guitar World Magazine and Guitarist Magazine, with the latter praising the "breathtaking results" of the band's influences on their ZeroFret recording.

Wider support recently saw the band's music used on US television network, ABC. Closer to home the trio continue their weekly residency at Bethnal Green's, Sun Tavern whilst working on their next release.
