Georgie Hume & The Pity Party are a London based trio led by guitarist George Hume, who's sound incorporates a blend of Jamaican Jazz , Cuban inspired rhythms and Surf inspired Exotica, creating a sound thats been described as “Tropical Jazz”.

The trio released their debut EP in February, 2024 receiving early support from Jazz FM, Soho Radio & BBC Sounds. They finished the year releasing a special Halloween colaboration with singer Ade Omotayo (Gorillaz, Amy Winehouse) of The Special’s track "Ghost Town”.

This year has seen the band release their debut album through their own label, ZeroFret Recordings with Rough Trade describing lead single “Parquet Parakeet” as a “three minute Tropical Jazz Masterpiece”.

Alongside invitations to play at Ealing Jazz and Red Rooster Festival, the group played a small run of sold out shows, entitled ‘The Pity Party Long Weekender’ to accompany their first ZeroFret release.
